Asher is currently a partner with Choate, Hall & Stewart, LLP. He is also a board member of MassVentures, an organization that helps portfolio companies grow in Massachusetts. Asher graduated from Dartmouth College and

In his early days, Asher worked for Studios as an assistant cameraman and editor. He later directed a series of movies, including Big Town, The Thin Man, and The Danny Thomas Show. He also co-produced the low-budget boxing melodrama Leather Gloves for Columbia.
In the early 60s, Asher wrote a series of musical pictures. He then moved to television as a producer and director. He produced or directed a dozen series over the next two decades. He also co-produced Fibber McGee and Molly and worked with Elizabeth Montgomery to create Bewitched. He also directed Alice.
Asher was a major player in the world of television. His networks changed the landscape of television and satellite channels. He also launched Vivid Entertainment, a company that produces films distributed via pay-per-view channels and DVDs. In 2001, Vivid produced 80 new films, including Little Stevie Wonder’s debut on the screen in “Muscle Beach Party.” In 2002, Asher and his team spent over $1 billion on features.
Asher also started his own company, Lucid Entertainment, which focused on nightclubs. He later expanded his business into live music venues and restaurants. His nightclubs attracted celebrities and media attention. He also signed licensing deals with companies like vodka, snowboards, and apparel.
In 1999, Asher left Playboy Entertainment Group. Two years later, he sold his network to the company for over $130 million.Bill Asher Asher was 37 years old when he left.
